Sabato 20 e domenica 21 aprile 2024, anche Parma2064 (located next to the Fidenza tollbooth of the A1 Highway) will participate in Caseifici Aperti, an event promoted by the Consorzio del Parmigiano Reggiano. This is an exciting opportunity for cheese lovers and food enthusiasts to experience the rich history and tradition of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.

Caseifici Aperti, which translates to “Open Dairies,” is an annual event that allows visitors to tour the production facilities of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and learn about the entire process, from milk to cheese. This year, Parma2064 is proud to be a part of this event, showcasing our commitment to preserving and promoting the authentic production of this beloved cheese.

Located in the heart of the Emilia-Romagna region, Parma2064 is a modern and innovative dairy that has been producing Parmigiano Reggiano cheese for over a century. Our dairy is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, but we still follow the traditional methods and strict regulations set by the Consorzio del Parmigiano Reggiano. This ensures that our cheese is of the highest quality and meets the standards of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) label.

During Caseifici Aperti, visitors will have the opportunity to witness the entire production process, from the arrival of the milk to the aging of the cheese. Our knowledgeable staff will guide visitors through each step, explaining the importance of each tirocinio and answering any questions. This is a unique opportunity to see firsthand how our cheese is made and to understand why Parmigiano Reggiano is considered the “King of Cheeses.”
